An official update on the success of the HOSA students this past week. March 7-9th 31 students from South Meck traveled to the North Carolina State HOSA Leadership Conference for three days to compete against 141 other schools from NC in 12 competitive events. They were recognized for having over 100 members in their chapter, and for Outstanding HOSA Chapter.
They had 10 top finishes in:
Behavioral Health - Jaden Chang
Health Career Photography - Vivien Liebler
HOSA Bowl - The team of freshmen stunned everyone, making it into the brackets. Though they didn't place in the top 3, they did phenomenally well for a first-year team! - Mac Barnes, Alex Brittain, Kady Hillman & Kate Terry
Also, to top it all off, our senior team won first place in HOSA Bowl - Eyram Bossiade, Katie Jackson, Anuj Kalia & Chloe Larson!
They had a fantastic amount of support from the HOSA Advisors - Bev Fisher, Ben Miller, Teresa Blaine, and our chaperones Jovonnia McCray and Hermia Snipes.
