Congratulations to the South Meck Swim & Dive team on their fantastic finish at the 4A State Championships. The Guys team was runner-up State Champions! That makes 5 years in a row the Sabres have either been 4A State Champions or runner-up State Champions! Tremendous heart and dedication by these young men!
Senior Diver, Luke Foster was STATE CHAMPION in 1 meter diving and his twin brother Ethan was runner-up State Champion. Sophomore phenom Garrett Boone was STATE CHAMPION in the 100 yard freestyle and a runner-up state champion in the 200 Individual Medley.
The girls team placed 7th just missing a top 5 finish by 1.5 points! The team was led by STATE CHAMPION Ellie Marquardt who won the 500 yard freestyle and her teammate sophomore Katie Rauch was runner-up State Champion in the 200 freestyle and the 500 yard freestyle. Girls Medley Relay medaled with a 3rd place finish-Katie Rauch, Reagan Johnson, Ellie Marquardt and Brynn Martinson. In addition the 400 freestyle relay got on the podium with a 4thplace finish-Katie Rauch, Haley Robinson, Brynn Martinson and Ellie Marquardt.
