Want to know what we are up to?

Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 6:30 pm in the Media Center for our monthly meeting.

Check out The Sabre Voice – your one stop to all things South Meck

Have you checked out The Sabre Voice? It’s an awesome and informative new blog/website. This website is one central location for students, staff, parents, and community members to view news and upcoming events related to South Meck. Rather than receiving a newsletter at the end of each week as in the past, everyone will be able to visit this website at any time to see real-time updates with the latest news and information. Soon, we will begin sending all our communication through The Sabre Voice. Check it out here.

Reflections Art Competition is Back

Students, do you enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films or photography? Then have fun unleashing your inner artist with the PTA Reflections Art Competition! This year’s theme, “Heroes Around Me,” calls for your own unique interpretation through the arts. Pick up submission guidelines and an entry form today from the Media Center, or find it all online at meckptareflections.weebly.com. The deadline to submit entries is Thursday, November 1.

IYC Update

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our Invest in Your Child campaign. With your generosity, we are up to $20,475 and almost half way to our goal of $45,000. Thank you to everyone who has already given. With your donations, we will be able to support teachers by purchasing classroom supplies, fund programs for students and provide lunches to staff. Every student and staff member benefits from your contribution. No donation is too small or too large. Donate on-line or drop off your IYC donation form and check to the red PTSA lock box in the front office. Find the link to donate and forms here.

Volunteer at The School Store The School store (located in the Mall Area, same building as the Media Center) needs volunteers to work from 10:30 – 12:30 Wednesdays and Fridays. It’s a great opportunity to volunteer at school, embarrass your kid(s) and help out the athletic boosters. For more information or to sign up, use this link or contact smschoolstore89@gmail.com with questions.

Service Opportunity Students looking for service hours? Carmel Middle School Family Fun Night needs students to help on Wednesday, October 10, 4-7pm during the football game. Please consider signing up to volunteer for a shift at this link. If you have any questions, please contact Michelle Shapiro at mshapiro@carolina.rr.com.
